Jean Mae Boxell, 84, of Warren, IN, died Friday, March 8, 2013, 10:18 p.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Mrs. Boxell graduated from the Hamilton High School, Trenton, NJ, in 1947. She had worked at Weaver Popcorn, Van Buren, and Caylor-Nickel Clinic in Bluffton. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Mt. Zion Home Economics Club and the Busy Bees Home Economics Club in Bluffton. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Warren.
She was born April 24, 1928, in Trenton, NJ. She married James H. Boxell in Columbia City on July 26, 1952. Her husband preceded her in death in July 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Cathy L. (Keith) Tucker, of Poneto; a son, David (Dana) Boxell, of Warren; seven grandchildren, Jeremy (Karly) Tucker, of Culver; Stacey (Chris) Duncan, of Bluffton; Jonathan Tucker, of Poneto; Rebecca (Ryan) Wilson, of Ossian; Joshua (Beth) Boxell, of Galveston; and Rochelle (John) Smiley and Adam (Krystal) Boxell, both of Marion; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, March 11, 2013, frm 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, March 12, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Ed Clark officiating. Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Warren.
