Sara S. Braun, 63, of Hopewell, NY, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Ontario County Health Facility, Canandaigua, NY.
Mrs. Braun graduated in 1967 from Huntington High School. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Huntington College in 1971 and a master's degree from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne in 1988. She worked at United Technologies in Huntington as a machine operator and prior to that she worked at Wabash Magnetic for more than nine years. She was a member of the Wabash Primitive Baptist Church.
She was born Aug. 18, 1949, in Huntington to Dale and Pauline Sunderman Baker.
Survivors include a son, Patrick (Dee) Rutherford, of Farmington, NY; a brother, John L. (Joy) Baker; a son-in-law, Richard Albertson, of Huntington; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, March 17, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Wabash Primitive Baptist Church, 340S-200E, Markle, with the funeral service following at 11. Elder Melvin Jackson will officiate. A private burial will be held at Star of Hope Cemetery.
