Charles H. Spencer

Charles H. Spencer, 89, of Tulsa, OK, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, March 9, 2013.

Mr. Spencer lived in Huntington until about 1985, when he moved to Tulsa, OK. He was a member of the New Hope Assembly of God Church in Tulsa. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Huntington to Charles B. and Rhoda A. Laughlin Spencer. He is survived by his wife, Wilma. They were married on Nov. 20, 1987, in Tulsa, OK.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Linda (Harold) Holmes, of Huntington, and Denise (Randy) Hess, of Chambersburg, PA; two sons, Tim Spencer, of Tulsa, OK, and Mark (Christy) Spencer, of Huntington; two sisters, Ruth (Bill) Young, of Quinton, OK, and Iva Galindo, of Brentwood, CA; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the New Hope Assembly of God Church, Tulsa, OK. Burial was at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, OK.

Moore Funeral Home, Tulsa, OK, was in charge of arrangements.
