Maxine D. Scott, 88, of Syracuse, IN, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the Warsaw Meadows Care Center.

Mrs. Scott attended Rock Creek High School, Huntington County. She had worked at Barth Manufacturing and was a member of the Milford Christian Church, both in Milford.

She was born June 18, 1924, in Kentland to Earl and Jessie L. Mowery Simmons. She married Wallace T. Scott on Sept. 11, 1940, in Markle. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen Bieber, of Pueblo West, CO, and Carol "Sue" (Tom) McClintic, of Milford; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private graveside service at Syracuse Cemetery.
