Terry L. Plasterer, 67, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, March 18, 2013, at 10:53 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Plasterer was a 1963 graduate of Andrews High School. He retired after 39 years as a warehouse manager and lineman for United REMC. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post 85, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 and Eagles Aerie 823, all in Huntington; 40 & 8 Post 850, Roanoke; and Amvets Post 55 and Army-Navy Garrison 57, both in Fort Wayne.
He was born May 29, 1945, in Huntington County to Ora Orville and Dorothy Lula Roberts Plasterer.
Survivors include a son, Philip L. (Vickie) Plasterer, of Bluffton; two daughters, Stacia L. McElhaney and Sonia L. Stevens, both of Huntington; a brother, Thomas O. (Maryann) Plasterer, of Columbia City; and three grandchildren, Andrew McElhaney, Mitchell McElhaney and Jake Stevens.
Calling is Thursday, March 21, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A service will be held at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, Huntington, on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 11 a.m., with calling at the church one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Marti Lundy will officiate.
Memorial gifts may be made to Army-Navy Garrison 57, Wounded Warriors or the American Lung Association in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.
