Sister Barbara McCord

Sister Barbara McCord, OLVM, 94, a resident of Victory Noll in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll.
She entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Jan. 30, 1937, and made first vows on Aug. 5, 1939. She served in missions in California, Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri. She returned to Victory Noll in 1987 and worked in the finance office and in pastoral care.
She was born Nov. 10, 1918, in St. Louis, MO, to James Rhey and Grace Elizabeth Danby McCord.
Survivors include a sister, Bettie Cole of San Diego, CA.
A vigil service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel. Rev. Thomas Fahey will preside. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
