Thomas E. Bowman, 78, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday morning, March 24, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Bowman graduated from Huntington High School in 1952 and served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1956. He had been employed by the Caswell-Runyan Company, Peerless Trailer Company, Maco Corporation and Shuttleworth Industries.
He was born May 8, 1934, in Huntington to Earl Francis and Katherine J. Lowman Bowman. He married Mary Ann Sands on Nov. 22, 1953, in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Joni Renee Bruch, of Huntington; two brothers, James A. (Mary) Bowman and Frank E. (Deb) Bowman, both of Huntington; a sister, Marsha (Arlen) Sands, of Huntington; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, March 27, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at10 a.m., with Rev. Eugene Vickery officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County, with graveside military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689.
