Dennis L. Kreisher

Dennis L. Kreisher, 78, of Markle, IN, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Kreisher was a 1952 graduate of Markle High School and a member of the Markle United Methodist Church. He had served as a member of the Markle Town Board for 15 years and was a volunteer firefighter with the Markle Volunteer Fire Department for 31 years. He worked as a truck driver at Fox and also at Primco Inc., in Fort Wayne, for 31 years, retiring in 2002. He had worked with his father at Kreisher 66, in Markle, for 10 years.
He was born in Huntington to Henry E. and Ruby E. Kreisher. His first marriage was to Billie Joan Gillingham, and she preceded him in death. His second marriage was to Emilie A. Mason on Jan. 4, 1974, at the Markle United Methodist Church. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Dennis D. Kreisher, of New Haven, and Gregory A. Kreisher, of Florida; two stepsons, Alan W. Jackson, of Decatur, and Phillip M. Jackson, of Markle; a stepdaughter, Terri Lynn Forst, of Markle; a sister, Linda (Robert) Reed, of Markle; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, March 28, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 29, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Steve McPeek officiating. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
