Robert L. Inskeep, 86, of Bluffton, IN, and having several connections to Markle, IN, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 1:31 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Inskeep was a lifelong resident of Wells County and graduated from Rock Creek High School in 1944. He was employed at Renner's Express for 25 years, retiring in 1982. He was in farming and trucking most of his life and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bluffton. He was a former member of the Markle Boosters basketball team.
He was born in Wells County on Aug. 15, 1926, to Glenn V. and Thelma Lesh Inskeep. He married Marilyn Pence on June 21, 1947, in Markle, and she survives.
Additional survivors include five daughters, Candice "Candy" Inskeep and Catherine "Cathy" (Don) Booth, both of Bluffton; Cynthia "Cindy" (Gary) Cook, of Crystal Lake, IL; Cheri Thomas, of Markle; and Carla (Keith) Claghorn, of Carmel; a brother, Richard G. Inskeep, of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, April 7, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. There will be no funeral or memorial service at this time.
Preferred memorials are to the First Presbyterian Church or Family LifeCare.
