Delbert Snow

Delbert Snow, 79, of Andrews, IN, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at 6:35 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Snow was the former owner of the Snow Construction Company in Andrews for many years, and had worked in Marion for the former Lingers and Bernie Winkler's construction companies, both of Marion. He was a member of the Andrews Christian Church and was a life member of the Lagro American Legion 248.

He was born July 5, 1930, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Thomas and Alien Earl Snow. He married Phyllis J. Tuggle on May 8, 1948, in Huntington, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Robert E. (Gale) Snow, of Uniondale; three daughters, Teresa A. (Terry) Waters, of Andrews; Jackie (Tom) Elick, of Huntington; and Brenda (Randy) Kistler, of Middlebury; a brother, Ted Snow, of Kalamazoo, MI; a sister, Betty Korreckt, of Andrews; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A funeral service was held Monday, Sept. 28, 2009, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Worlie Newsome officiating. Burial wasn the Andrews Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.

Pallbearers were Roger Yeiter, Robert Snow II, Tyrone Grimm, Kenny Grimm, and Ken Snow III.
