Bernice G. Kennell, 96, of Indianapolis, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Friday, April 12, 2013.
She and her husband served Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist churches in Ohio and Indiana, including Huntington, until 1981. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Indianapolis.
She was born April 23, 1916, in Topeka, KS, to Anthony and Emma Johnsmeyer Linge. She married Rev. Woodrow W. "Tom" Kennell on June 1, 1939, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann (Richard) Gantz and Susan J. Kennell; a granddaughter, Sally (Brian) Ball; and a great-granddaughter.
A private graveside service will be held.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Hooverwood Holiday Employee Fund.
