Darrel C. Kissinger, 66, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013.
Mr. Kissinger graduated from Central High School in 1965. He was employed by General Electric for 25 years, retiring in 2004. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post 241, GE Quarter Century Club and Northeast Indiana Baseball Association and a former member of Toastmasters and Three Rivers Strollers.
He was born in Fort Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janis Kissinger.
Additional survivors include a son, Robert (Sandy) Kissinger, of Roanoke; a daughter, Julie Kissinger, of Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren, Kari and Jasper.
Calling is Friday, April 19, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens.
