William N. 'Bill' Mills

William Neil "Bill" Mills, 80, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Mills graduated from East Denver High School in Denver, CO, and earned a degree in electrical engineering from Colorado Agriculture and Mining College in Fort Collins, CO, in 1956. He worked as an engineer with Convair Division of the General Dynamics Corporation, in San Diego, CA, and with Tracer Lab, in Oakland, CA.
He graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 1966. He practiced law with Bangs, Mills and Rollo and later with Mills and Northrop law firms, both in Huntington.
He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Indiana State Bar Association, Huntington County Bar Association, Carlisle Crossing Homeowners Board and Huntington County Habitat for Humanity. He had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he served on the Board of Elders, and later became a member of College Park United Brethren Church, serving on the administrative board.
He was born July 15, 1932, in Denver, CO, to Neil and Leonore Stark Mills He married Sylvia S. Starr on Dec. 18, 1960, in Muncie, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Rebecca Mills (Scott) Green; a son, Thomas Neil (Lori) Mills; four grandchildren, Katherine Mills, Jacob Mills, Michael Green and Benjamin Green; and one great-grandchild.
Calling is Saturday, April 27, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at College Park United Brethren Church, 1945 College Ave., Huntington. Rev. Gary Dilley will officiate. Private burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie.
Memorial gifts may be made to the College Park Benevolence Fund or Huntington County Habitat for Humanity, both in care of Myers Funeral Home.
