Ursula R. Redding

Ursula R. Baker Redding, 92, formerly of the Roanoke, IN, area, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Presence Sacred Heart Home, in Avilla, IN.

Mrs. Redding was a homemaker and had most recently worked for the Coventry Pizza Hut until the age of 87. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roanoke along with being active at the American Legion.

She was born March 27, 1921, in Fort Wayne to Ira and Romana Hursh Crandal. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Baker, in 1960, and her second husband, Jack Redding, in 1985.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon (Donald) Heck, of Huntertown; a brother, James (Hazel) Crandal, of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Tammy (James) Stewart and Sherrie Balyeat, both of Kendallville, and Todd Heck, of Fort Wayne; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 29, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St., Roanoke, with 30 minutes of visitation prior to service. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Memorials are to Presence Sacred Heart Home, St. Joseph Catholic Church or the Roanoke American Legion.
