Sally Fisher, 99, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at The Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Fisher was a homemaker and had also worked at the former Cut Rate Drug Store in Huntington. She and her husband founded City Beverage in 1951.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality and Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She served on the board that founded the Huntington County Right to Life organization.
She was born April 8, 1914, in Columbia City to Victoria and Frank Schmitz. She married James Francis Fisher, who preceded her in death in 1968.
Survivors include a son, Michael (Marsha) Fisher, of Huntington; a daughter, Nancy Fellinger, of Huntington; a brother, Paul Schmitz, of Honolulu HI; seven grandchildren, John (Becky) Fisher, Jill Henderson, Mariann (Steve) Hackler, Kathy (Tim) Blomeke and Lynn (Todd) Birkle, all of Huntington; Amy (Joseph) Salem, of Fort Wayne; and Michelle (Jeff) Easley, of Van Wert, OH; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Mrs. Fisher directed that her body be donated to the Indiana University School of Medicine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, with burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
