Virginia I. Arlic

Virginia I. Arlic, 91, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in the Huntington County, IN, area, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Arlic attended Northside High School, Fort Wayne. She worked as a cook at Parkview South for 15 years, retiring in 1987. She had been a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and Parkview Ambassadors.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Fort Wayne to Bacil and Ethel Downend.

She is survived by a son, Alfred A. (Diana) Arlic II, of the Huntington County area; four daughters, Sharon (Pete) Jump, Diana M. Haifley, Teresa M. Blazius and Tina L. Barr; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Calling is Friday, May 3, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
