Florence L. Schmalzried

Florence Louise Schmalzried, 94, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at The Heritage of Huntington.
Mrs. Schmalzried graduated from Bippus High School and attended beauty college in Fort Wayne. She was a beautician and a homemaker. She was a member of New Hope United Church of Christ, Bippus.
She was born May 30, 1918, in Huntington County to Philip and Theresa Sell Schenkel. She married Keith Schmalzried on Oct. 21, 1939; her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, James (Karen) Schmalzried and Lee (Joni) Schmalzried, both of Huntington; three grandchildren, Anjanette (Steve) Cline, Adam (Linh) Neester and Nate Schmalzried; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10,a.m. to 11 a.m., with a service following at 11 a.m., a New Hope United Church of Christ, Bippus. Rev. Larry Holderbaum will officiate. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
