George R. Kingrey, 89, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Heritage Pointe, Warren.
Mr. Kingrey was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a sergeant during World War II. He farmed in Lancaster Township most of his life and was a member of the Huntington Church of Christ.
He was born April 15, 1924, in Bowling Green, KY, to Cilvenus and Rosetta Britt Kingrey. He married Mary Gelee Bull on April 20, 1946, in Glasgow, KY. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Wanda L. (Roger) Hosler, of Huntington, and Marlas E. Robrock, of Fort Wayne; three sons, Cliff (Diana) Kingrey, of Blue Ridge, GA; Joe Kingrey, of Flowery Branch, GA; and Randy G. (Tammy) Kingrey, of Huntington;12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Calling is Monday, May 6, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, IN. A service will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary, with Luke Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
