Hal Reckard, 63, of rural Warren, IN, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at 11:40 a.m. at his residence.
Mr. Reckard graduated from the Huntington County Community High School. He had worked for the Huntington School Corporation as a bus mechanic for more than 30 years. He had also worked at Crown Equipment for 10 years. He had coached County Line Little League and Warren girls' softball. He attended the Church of the Brethren.
He was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Huntington to H. Dean and Elsie Wine Reckard. His parents survive in Huntington. He married Yvonne Scher on Nov. 20, 1999, in Warren. She also survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Cory (Teresa) Reckard, of Poneto, and Scott (Katie) Reckard, of Kokomo; two stepsons, Corey Eppard, of Huntington, and Benjamin Eppard, of Warren; a stepdaughter, Cassandra Eppard, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Dee Montel, North Manchester, and Kay Beaver, of Huntington; and five
Calling is Monday, May 13, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, May 14, 2013, for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service, at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St., Warren. Rev. Dennis Beckner will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
