George G. Brannon

George G. Brannon, 79, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at 3:52 a.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN.

Mr. Brannon had worked at GM Fisher Body in Marion for 30 years, retiring in 1985, and was a member of the GM Sympathy Club. He graduated in 1952 from Morton Memorial High School at the Soldiers and Sailors Children's Home, in Knightstown. He was a member of American Legion Post 85 and Eagles Lodge 823, both in Huntington.

He was born Dec. 13, 1933, in Muncie to Gilbert and Reba Dunagan Brannon. He married Marjorie E. Deeds on Sept. 25, 1954, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Darlene M. Berry, of Huntington; two sisters, Rachel Driscoll, of Marion, and Charlotte Devel, of Florida; three grandchildren, Kerby Berry, Kasey Berry and Kelli Berry; and a great-grandson.

Calling is Tuesday, May 14, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Don Marlowe officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
