Genevieve L. Fox, 90, of Marion, IN, and having ties to Huntington County, IN, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Fox graduated from Markleville High School in 1942 and had lived in Warren, Gas City, and Avon Park, FL. She had worked for the United Methodist Memorial Home (now Heritage Pointe), in Warren, for five years; at the Emily Flinn Nursing Home, in Marion; and at Delco Remy, in Anderson, for three years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Sunshine Club, General Motors Sympathy Club and the Mt. Etna Wesleyan Church. She had also attended the First Baptist Church, in Frostproof, FL.
She was born April 9, 1923, in Anderson to William Seth and Faye Marie Palmer Charles. She married Howard L. Fox on May 14, 1944, in Daleville. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Ronald (Cris) Fox, of Andrews; a daughter, Connie Lee (Russell) Wolfe, of Mt. Vernon, IL; eight grandchildren, Angela Carter, of St. Joe, IL; Jay Parrett, Traci Koontz and Ron Fox Jr., all of Andrews; Debbie Bland, of Danville; Tammy Valenzuela and Jamey Allen, both of Bluffton; and Bill Allen, of Warren; 23 great-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, May 17, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Rev. Russell Wolfe will officiate. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.
