Roger A. Cooper, 65, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 9:36 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital, Huntington.
Mr. Cooper graduated from Columbia City Joint High School in 1966 and served in the United States Navy. He was retired from Walmart, where he worked as an assembler.
He was born July 2, 1947, in Wolf Lake to Robert and Elizabeth Mae Orcutt Cooper. He is survived by his stepmother, Dortha Mae Marsh, of Columbia City.
Additional survivors include a son, Matthew A. (Amber) Cooper, of Huntington.; two daughters, Trinity J. Cooper and Stephanie (Joshua) Smith, both of Huntington; three brothers, Jerry (Charlene) Cooper, of Fort Wayne; Chuck Cooper, of Columbus, OH; and Steve (Jeanine) Cooper, of Ohio; three sisters, Carol (Bill) Foster, of Reno, NV; Cindy (Dale) Conner, of Illinois, and Lynn Wood, of Fort Wayne; and nine grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, May 24, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A private service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at a later date at Green Hill Cemetery, Columbia City.
