Wendell G. 'Wendy' Mann

Wendell G. "Wendy" Mann, 84, of Roanoke, IN, died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at 10:05 a.m. at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Mann graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1947 and earned an associate's degree from Indiana-Purdue University, Fort Wayne. He retired from the Dana Corporation, Fort Wayne, where he had been employed for 35 years. He was a 54-year member of the Calvary Third Presbyterian Church, Fort Wayne, and a member of the Okeechobee Presbyterian Church in Okeechobee, FL, where he spent winters for 24 years. He was a 61-year member of Wayne Masonic Lodge 52 and was a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Navy.
He was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Wells County to Earl and Velma Grove Mann. He married Bette Hardin on Aug. 4, 1951, in Warren. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Shawn Dean (Kelly S.) Mann, of Roanoke; a brother, Max (Bea) Mann, of Fishers; a sister, Ilene Reeves, of Muskogee, OK; two grandchildren, Rachelle Dawn Mann and Hunter Dean Mann, both of Roanoke; a stepgranddaughter, Danelle Vaniandingham; and two stepgreat-grandsons.
Calling is Monday, May 27, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a Masonic service set for 6:30 p.m., at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Hal Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
