Waneta P. Pohler

Waneta P. Pohler, 95, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 8:05 p.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, in Huntington.

Mrs. Pohler was a homemaker. She had attended Central High School in Fort Wayne. She was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church.

She was born March 21, 1918, in Princess Ann County, VA, to Lloyd and Fern Hyser Wolfe. She was married to Marcellus J. "Marty" Pohler on Oct. 10, 1936. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1998.

Survivors include four daughters, Marjorie (Lowell) Richardson, of Dallas Township; Margaret (Richard) Jewell, of Wichita, KS; and Mary J. Slater and Martha (Ralph) Kelsey, both of Huntington; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, May 28, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 10 a.m., with one hour of visitation prior to the service, at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, 648 N. LaFontaine St., Huntington, with Rev. Richard Lofgren officiating. Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
