Gary Dean Tackett, 62, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 6:55 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Tackett worked in production at General Motors for 15 years. He was a member of Gethsemane Ministries, of Huntington.
He was born Jan. 10, 1951, in Melvin, KY, to Elmer and Ruth Henson Tackett.
Survivors include a son, Mark A. (Kristen) Tackett, of Huntington; a daughter, Stacy M. Tackett, of Indianapolis; two sisters, Sharon R. (Jerry) Hall, of Huntington, and Joyce (Ray) Newsome, of Andrews; and two granddaughters, Myla Tackett and Livia Tackett, both of Huntington.
Calling is Tuesday, July 9, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gethsemane Ministries, 2239 Hartman St., Huntington. A service will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Gethsemane Ministries, with Rev. Worlie Newsome Jr. and Rev. Elzie Spencer officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
