Robert J. Bremerkamp

Robert J. Bremerkamp, 91, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Markle.

Mr. Bremerkamp graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was a member of the the United States Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945, serving in the Mediterranean theater and achieving the rank of captain. He continued his service as a member of the Air Force Reserves, achieving the rank of major. He was the proprietor and chief photographer of Robert's Studio for 40 years.

He was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Fort Wayne. His first marriage was to Mary Ashley Houser in June of 1950, and she preceded him death in July of 1995. His second marriage was to Hope Jordan, who preceded him in death in 2010.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Bremerkamp Jr., of Parsippany, NJ; Raymond E. Bremerkamp, of Phoenix, AZ; and David Bremerkamp, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Patricia Hendricks, of Seattle, WA; a sister, Gretchen Zahrt, of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, James Hendricks, David Hendricks and Christopher Hendricks; and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in Winchester.
