Chester D. Zimmerlee

Chester D. Zimmerlee, 87, of Huntington IN, died Sunday morning, July 14, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Zimmerlee retired from Marsh Foods, where he had been employed for 15 years. He had previously worked as a truck driver for Farm Bureau Petroleum Co-op, making deliveries for 21 years, and worked 10 years at the former Gamble's store in downtown Huntington. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Huntington, and was involved in the Methodist Men of the church, served as trustee and was a former member of the church board.

He was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Huntington County to Tony H. and Grace Mae Rennells Zimmerlee. He married Helen Jane Martin on Nov. 22, 1945, in Culver. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Kay Kiefer and Sue Ann Burnworth, both of Huntington; six grandchildren, Tony Burnworth, Troy Kiefer, Trent Kiefer, Angie Burnworth, Rochelle Kennedy and Jeff Burnworth; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, July 17, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, July 18, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Richard Bunnell officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
