Alan E. Leinbach

Alan E. Leinbach, 65, of North Webster, IN, and having ties to Markle, IN, died Sunday, July 21, 2013. at 1:35 p.m.
Mr. Leinbach graduated in 1965 from Millersburg High School in Millersburg. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, VA, in 1972. He attended graduate school at Eastern Mennonite Seminary and Grace Seminary. He worked at Grace College and Seminary in Winona Lake for 23 years before retiring in 2013. He was also part of the pastoral team at North Pointe Fellowship in Warsaw.
He attended Family Worship Center at the Lighthouse in Goshen, and formerly attended North Pointe Fellowship in Warsaw. He coached Upward Basketball at the North Webster United Methodist Church and was a board member for Mennonite Disaster Services.
He was born Oct. 6, 1947, to Maurice E. and Joyce C. Yoder Leinbach. He married Helen K. Eby on June 30, 1973, in Hagerstown, MD. His wife survives in North Webster.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Betsy (Jon Bontrager) Leinbach, of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Andy Leinbach, of Chicago, IL and Mark (Marlea) Leinbach of Dundee, OH, his mother, Joyce Leinbach, of Markle, IN; a sister, Nancy Leinbach of Uniondale; a brother, Dennis (Joyce) Leinbach, of Uniondale; and five grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, July 24, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind.-13 and 500N, North Webster. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. at United Methodist Church, 7822 E. Epworth Forest Rd., North Webster, with Rev. Steve Leinbach officiating. Burial will be at the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
