Minnie L. Bowman

Minnie L. Bowman, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 5:46 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, in Huntington.
Mrs. Bowman worked at Wabash Magnetics for 10 years, retiring in 1995, and later worked part time in the cafeteria of Crestview Middle School. She waited tables at the Heidelberg Club for many years. She was a member of Union Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 and American Legion Post 7.
She was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Wabash, to Paul E. and Tena Springer Ridenour.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Aaron) Biehl, of Huntington; three granddaughters, Carmen (Rick) Waikel, Teresa Dailey and Sherry Biehl, all of Huntington; a sister, Mildred (Jack) Jacoby, of Huntington; four great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a companion, Bob Cline, of Huntington, and the father of her daughter, Raymond Carpenter, of LaFontaine.
Calling is Monday, July 29, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Huntington Chapel, with Rev. Mark Hoffer and Dr. Howard Cherry officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion.
