Maybelle Wilson, 95, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at 8;47 p.m. at the Heritage of Huntington, where she resided the last several years.
Mrs. Wilson was a 1935 graduate of Clear Creek High school and had attended Ball State University. She had worked at Johnson's Flower Shop and had her own beauty shop in Roanoke for many years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star in Huntington.
She was born May 1, 1918, in Huntington County to Earl and Lizzie Schrock Harshbarger. She was married to Keith N. Wilson on June 22, 1942, in Mississippi. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1996.
Survivors include a son, Jack M. Wilson, of Huntington; a daughter-in-law, Kathie L. Wilson, of Bippus; two grandchildren, Katrina (Matt) Bechtold, of North Manchester and Gunnar Wilson, of Bippus; and one great-grandchild.
Calling is Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following, with Rev. Bob Land officiating. Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
