Jeannine L. Wright, 80, of Decatur, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Wright was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Decatur. She was employed by Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She had also worked at Adams Memorial Hospital and was a hospital volunteer.
She was born Dec. 19, 1932, in Huntington to Leo E. and C. Louise Lynas Simon. She married Herbert J. Pearson on Aug. 5, 1989, in Fort Wayne, and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2011.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald R. (Kim) Wright, of Decatur, and C. Thomas Wright, of Fort Wayne; a stepdaughter, Michael Ann Kuss, of Walkerton; a brother, Richard E. (Rose) Simon, of Tempe, AZ; six grandchildren, Ronald "James" (Taylor) Wright, Samantha Elizabeth Wright, Shelby Kate Wright, Patrick Anthony Wright, Henry Jack Wright, Sophia Ann Wright and Christine Suzanne Wright; and three stepgrandchildren, Amber Jean Kuss, Lauren Marie Kuss and Olivia Janet Kuss.
Her former husband, Ronald E. Wright, survives in Fort Wayne.
Calling is Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, 520 N. Second St., Decatur. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Marcia Cline officiating. Interment will be at Lancaster Cemetery, Huntington County.
Memorial gifts may be made to New Horizons, in Marion; Crossroads Children's Home, in Fort Wayne; or the First Presbyterian Church, in Decatur.
