Kayla M. Stirlen, 24, of Bluffton, IN, and having family members in Markle, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013, at 7:50 p.m.
Mrs. Stirlen, a resident of Wells County most of her life, graduated from Community Christian School in 2006. She had been employed by C.D.S. and by Pathfinder Services, in Huntington.
She was born Aug. 14, 1988, in Fort Wayne to Kid C. and Teresa G. Brock Smith. Her parents survive in Ossian. She married Samuel Stirlen on Dec. 27, 2011, and he died on Aug. 6, 2013.
Survivors include a daughter, Gabrielle "Gabby" Smith, of Ossian; a sister, Angie (Matt) Norris, of Markle; a brother, Brandon (Cassandra) Smith, of Bluffton; and her grandmother, Bessie Smith, of Markle.
Calling is Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., with a service following at 3 p.m., at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. Rev. Tony Robles will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
