William Semon

William Semon, 53, of Indianapolis, and a former resident of the Warren area, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at Rosewalk Village, in Indianapolis.

Mr. Semon received his GED from Alexandria-Monroe High School with the class of 1979 and served with the United States Marines for two years. He had worked in the dietary department at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, and more recently as a driver for Hiner Trucking, in Huntington. He was a member of Hunter Road Bible Church, in Indianapolis.

He was born Jan. 20, 1960, in Anderson. His father, Travis "Tadpole" Semon, is deceased; his mother, JoAnn Keigley Semon Hollingsworth, survives in Anderson. His stepmother, Grace Semon Savage, survives in Alexandria. He married Angie Moore, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, William T. Semon, of Columbia City, and Curtis Semon, of Warren; a stepdaughter, Mary McNamara, of Montpelier; a stepson, Andrew McNamara, of Bluffton; three brothers, Larry (Stella) Hollingsworth, of North Webster; Chris (Tammy) Hollingsworth, of Indianapolis; and Travis Semon Jr., of Alexandria; four sisters, Lorri (Jerry) Sigler and Vanessa Lee, both of Anderson; Denise Cole, of Kokomo; and Audrey Huff, of Moreland; and two granddaughters, Americaiss Semon and Miracle Semon.

Calling is Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria. Rev. Bill Keen will officiate. Burial will be at Park View Cemetery, in Alexandria.
