Sister Irene DeMeulenaere

Sister Irene DeMeulenaere, 90, of Victory Noll, Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll.
Sister DeMeulenaere entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Oct. 27, 1949, and made her first vows on Aug. 5, 1952. She served in the missions in Nevada, Wyoming, New Mexico, California, Arizona and Indiana. She returned to Victory Noll in 2003, serving as Holy Family Health Care coordinator for three years and later as a personal needs assistant.
She was born April 7, 1923, in Victor, IA, to August and Katherine Michalek DeMeulenaere.
She is survived by a sister, Ruth DeMeulenaere, of Victor, IA.
A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the chapel on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass. Rev. Thomas Fahey will preside. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
