Roger Dean Jones, 57, of Maple Park, IL, and a former resident of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Jones was sales and technical director at Welding Material Sales in Geneva, IL, where he had worked for the past several years. He had been employed as plant manager at Huntington Electric, in Huntington, for many years. He was a member of the DeKalb Elks and Sandwich Moose clubs.
He was born April 27, 1956, in Dexter, MO, to Robert and Aileen Brown Jones. He married Geraldine "Geri" Lynn Reese Gardner on Dec. 9, 1995, in Huntington.
Survivors include two sons, Rob (Dena) Jones, of Huntington, and Eric Jones, of Indiana; two daughters, Brandy (Mike) Murray, of Beloit, WI, and Mandy Kreinz, of Hinckley, IL; two brothers, Darrell "Doc" Walker, of Huntington, and Steve (Carol) Walker, of Wabash; three sisters, Francis Myers and Zouie Witacker, both of Huntington, and Nancy (Neil) Ward, of Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Colby, Cooper, Emily, Connor, Brendan, Tyler, MaKenna and Dawson; his mother-in-law, June Sather, of Sugar Grove, IL; two brothers-in-law, William (Jenna) Warren, of Pensacola, FL, and Daniel (Stephanie) Sather, of St. Charles, IL; and a sister-in-law, Penny Warren, of Janesville, WI.
An informal service will be held at a later date. Cremains will be interred in Huntington at a later date.
