Steve P. Hoyle, 64, of Roanoke, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at 5 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Hoyle was a retired employee of the State of Indiana. He was a member of Life Community Church. He was a past district commander for the Sons of the American Legion. He also served as past president of Kiwanis in Wakarusa.
He was born March 3, 1949 in Cleveland, TN, to Harding and Betty Webb Hoyle. He married Kim Arlington on June 17, 1978, in Elkhart. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include four brothers, Don Pierce, Gary Hoyle and Kendall Hoyle, all of Tennessee, and William Pierce, of Florida.
Calling is Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A funeral Service will be Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Mike Hill officiating. Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion.
Preferred memorials are to the Juvenile Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
