David G. Hoover, 62, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at 2:09 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mr. Hoover was employed by Zollner Piston, of Fort Wayne, for 34 years. He retired from Our Sunday Visitor, in Huntington, where he had been employed for 10 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Huntington North High School and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He was born Oct. 16, 1950, in Huntington to Orville and Dorothy Schafer Hoover. He married Brenda L. Asher on April 5, 1975, in Markle. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Wendy (Michael) Trosper, of Warren; a sister, Susan Mullis, of Huntington; a brother, William (Joyce) Hoover, of Yoder; a sister-in-law, Stevanna Spath, of Sebring, FL; and a granddaughter, Bailey Trosper, of Warren.
Calling is Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Brunk Conley officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
