J Harold Trout, 88, of Warren, IN, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 10:06 a.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Mr. Trout graduated in 1942 from Warren High School. He joined the United States Army in 1943 during World War II and served in the 71st Infantry Division in the 3rd Army with General Patton. He was a dairy farmer for 28 years and sold DeKalb seed corn.
He was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Warren to Harley E. and Ethel Bennett Trout. He married Jo Ann Paul in May 1948, and she survives.
Additional survivors are two sons, Steve (Linda) Trout, of Houston, TX, and Stanley (Terrie) Trout, of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Robert (Beverly) Trout, of Florence, and Roger (Joyce) Trout, of Warren; a sister-in-law, Mary Trout, of Warren; a granddaughter, Laurie (Michael) Niemeyer, of Troy, OH; a stepgranddaughter, Rachel (Steve) Kennedy, of Houston, TX; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, and on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service, at First Baptist Church, 727 N. Wayne St., Warren. Rev. Bill Fisher will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
