Betty Jean Pursifull, 82, of Markle, IN, died Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 8:25 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital.
Mrs. Pursifull was a 1949 graduate of East Rockcreek High School. She had worked at Memcor for 26 years. She was a member of the TurnPointe Community Brethren Church.
She was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Fort Wayne, to Carl E. and Laura E. Price Carney. She married Loyal K. Pursifull on Feb. 14, 1950, in Markle. He survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Patrick K.(Vonell) Pursifull and Michael K. (Debra) Pursifull, both of Ossian; three daughters: Tonya (Shawn) Hainzelsperger, of Halles Corner, WI, Barbara (Rod) Conwell, of Huntington, Carla Devlin, of Daytona Beach, FL; a brother, David Carney, of New Haven; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at the TurnPointe Community Church, 500 W. Logan St., Markle. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
Memorials may be made out to TurnPointe Community Church or to the Markle Fish and Game Club.
