Helen Vincent Koehlinger, 85, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at 1:08 p.m. at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.
Mrs. Koehlinger graduated from Watertown High School in New York and earned a Bachelor of Science in education from New York University at Potsdam. She taught elementary school in New York City and in Rochester, NY. She was a former member of the Browncroft/Brighton Community Church in Rochester, NY, where she taught Sunday school and was a Pioneer Girl leader for many years. She was a current member of the McNatt United Methodist Church.
She was born Sept. 21, 1928, in New York, NY, to Dr. Leonard and Grace Cummings Vincent. She married Roger L. Koehlinger on July 3, 1954, in Watertown, NY. Her husband preceded her in death on April 28, 2012.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Elizabeth (David) Lautz, of Wheaton, IL, and Kelly (Benjamin) Morton, of Warren; two sons, Darrell V. Koehlinger, of Minneapolis, MN, and Jeff Koehlinger, of Auburn; a brother, Donald Vincent, of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Annette (Edward) Spitz and Marian Ellis, both of Florida; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A service will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at McNatt United Methodist Church, 9271W-800S-90, Montpelier, with Rev. Bill VanHaften officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Warren.
