Willodean Gamble, 88, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at 2:11 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Gamble graduated from high school and earned a cosmetology license. She was a State Board inspector for beauty shops. She was also a self-employed beautician and owner of Cut & Curl in Huntington. After retirement, she lived in Florida for 22 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington.
She was born Oct. 31, 1924, in South Whitley to Earl and Goldie Henemeyer Shaffer. She married James Gamble on Oct. 31, 1946. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Richard "Rick" (Lana) Gamble, of Warren, and Tim (Sarah) Gamble, of Bippus; a daughter, Michelle (Dave) Mauger, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Wanda (Cliff) Olinger, of New Haven; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. Rev. John Pfister will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
Memorial gifts may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church for Masses.
