Marjorie L. Cook, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at 7 a.m. at Kingston Residence, of Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Cook graduated from Bippus High School in 1940. She retired from E-Systems, in Huntington, where she had worked for 25 years as an inspector in the quality control department.
She was a member of St. Peter's First Community Church, in Huntington, and a member of the church's Loyal Partners Class and Friendship Circle. She was a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Order of the Eastern Star Floral Chapter 75. She was also a member of the Women's Club and Child Welfare Club, both of Huntington.
She was born April 10, 1922, in Warren Township, Huntington County, to William C. and Clara E. Pflieger Michel. She married Robert Nie Cook on Aug. 17, 1941, and he survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Roger Allen (Deborah) Cook, of Wabash; a daughter, Patricia Sablic, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Order of the Eastern Star Floral Chapter 75 will hold a twilight service Sunday at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the mortuary on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Richard Strick will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County.
