Danny J. Sparks, 58, of Markle, IN, died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, at 6:22 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Sparks graduated from Huntington North High School in 1973. He worked as a lead pressman at Innovative Packaging for 10 years and worked at International Paper, in Fort Wayne, for 29 years. He also worked on the family farm all his life.
He was born Feb. 12, 1955, in Huntington to Vern and Maribelle Lahr Sparks. His mother survives in Markle. He married Sharon L. Kersey on June 17, 2000, in Markle. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Tiffany S. (Mike) Grant, of Markle; a stepdaughter, Angela (Chris) Kauffman, of Huntington; a stepson, Adam Rodenbeck, of Indianapolis; two brothers, Max (Doris) Sparks and Jim (Vicki) Sparks, both of Huntington; a sister, Linda (John) Allen, of Warren; and three grandchildren, Mikayla Grant, Chloe Kauffman and Caleb Kauffman.
Calling is Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., with a service following at 4 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Rev. Jeremy Stultz will officiate.
