Betty J. Opliger

Betty J. Opliger, 80, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Kingston Care Center, in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Opliger worked with Peerless Cleaners and retired from the dry cleaning business after more than 50 years.

She was born in Huntington to Robert and Beulah Tobin. She married Kenneth Opliger, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Hanauer, of Fort Wayne; a son, John Hanauer, of Fort Wayne; a sister, Margaret Badger, of Huntington; and three brothers, James (Carol) Tobin, of Dunellen, FL, and Jerry Tobin and Tom Tobin, both of Huntington.

Calling is Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, from noon until the 3 p.m. funeral service, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial was at Highland Park Cemetery.
