Janice A. Scarborough, 73, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at 6:15 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Scarborough worked at Memcor, Pyle Industries and Huntington Electric.
She was born April 9, 1940, in Huntington, to Leo and Theode Comstock Stouder. She married Thomas Scarborough on April 28, 1979, in Huntington, and he survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Marcia (Kip) Geyer, of Fort Wayne, and Corina (Barry) Smith, of Marion; a son, Don (Carrie) Elser, of Huntington; five grandchildren Stephanie Clark, Christopher Clark, William Elser, Justin Elser and Joseph Elser; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deal-Rice Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 338 E. Washington St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 21,2013, at 11 a.m., with calling an hour prior. Captain Barbara McCauley of the Salvation Army Church will officiate. Burial will follow in Andrews Riverside Cemetery.
