Marilyn Sue Brown

Marilyn Sue Brown, 74, of Jonesboro, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at Marion General Hospital.

Mrs. Brown was a switchboard operator and then secretary at RCA/Thomson Consumer Electronics, retiring in 1995 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of Twin City Bible Baptist Church for 42 years. She volunteered with the church's XYZ ministry for Senior Citizens and also volunteered with Gilead Ministries, Gas City Chamber of Commerce and Marion General Hospital. She was a member of Sweet Adelines and the RCA Sympathy Club.

She was born June 1, 1939, in Huntington, to George E. and Ruthella Hall. She married Robert C. Brown on Sept. 4, 1970, and he survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Pamela J. (Max) Pettyjohn, of Louisville, KY; two sons, Stan (Judy) Hungerford, of Clemmons, NC and Steven (Lorena) Hungerford, of Mocksville, NC; three stepsons, Robert Brown Jr., Richard (Beth) Brown and Nick Brown; three sisters, Rosalyn Hughes, Barbara (Tom) Clements and Martha (John) Harrell; a brother, Max Hall; and 11 grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, Caleb, Emily, Aaron, Josiah, Zoe, Ricky, Bobbie, Joey and Mary.

A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Twin City Bible Baptist Church, , Marion. Rev. Dale Schuiteman officiated. Burial was in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
