Ervin L. Coble, 66, of Huntington County, IN, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, at 11:50 p.m. at his home near Bippus.
Mr. Coble retired in 2012 from National Tube Form, in Fort Wayne, where he had worked as a supervisor for 15 years. He served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1968 during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, in Huntington; Deming Lodge 88 F.&A.M., in North Manchester; and Christian Fellowship Church, in North Manchester.
He was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Fort Jackson, SC, to Ernest D. and Margretha Ervin Coble. He married Ethel Marie Elliott on Nov. 7, 1970, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Donald C. Coble, of North Manchester; a daughter, Mary Ann Safford, of Lakeville, MN; a sister, Patricia (John) Smith, of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Ashley Dotson, of Huntington; Chris Stafford, of Fort Wayne; and David Angelio Dean Massaro, of Lakeville, MN.
Calling is Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at Christian Fellowship Church, 1002 Ind.-114 East, North Manchester. Rev. Eddie Akins will officiate. Burial, with full military honors, will be at Funk Cemetery, in Bippus.
