Rex G. Yoder

Rex G. Yoder, 85, of Amarillo, TX, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013.

Mr. Yoder was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force on Oct. 31, 1959, and graduated from West Texas State University with a business degree on May 26, 1963. He worked in accounting and computers for the cattle industry. He attended First Presbyterian Church.

He was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Huntington to Wendell Roy and Inez Marie Yoder. He married Betty J. Ratliff on Nov. 25, 1982, in Amarillo, TX, and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include five daughters, Tam Lance, Stephanie Yoder, Leslie Thorne and Vicki Brown, all of Amarillo, and Connie Wooton, of Canyon, TX; a brother, Larry Dean Yoder, of Peru; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX. A graveside service will be Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Llano Cemetery, with Lynn Rector officiating.
