Susan E. Bothast

Susan E. Bothast, 68, of Montpelier, IN, and having Huntington County connections, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at 6:56 a.m. at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN.

Mrs. Bothast was a 1963 graduate of Montpelier High School. She was the music minister at the Warren First Baptist Church for seven years. She was a member of the Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Montpelier and attended the First Baptist Church in Warren. Mrs. Bothast formerly worked for Peyton's Northern in Bluffton.

She was born June 16, 1945, in Jay County to Rev. Burl E. and Marty Esther Rouch Taylor. She married Rev. Robert C. Bothast on Thursday, July 4, 1963, at the Olive Branch Church of the Nazarene, in rural Hartford City. Her husband survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Brian W. (Teresa) Bothast and Robert L. (Emily) Bothast, both of Montpelier; a daughter, Teresa L. (Mike) Parson, of Montpelier; three brothers, Larry Taylor, of Poneto; Ray Taylor, of Osgood, and Terry Taylor, of Hartford City; two sisters, Sherry Love, Montpelier, and Nancy Pryor, of Hartford City; 10 grandchildren, Brett Bothast, Whitney "Bree" Bothast, Trisha Love, Tasha Love, Pfc. Travis Love, Michael Parson, Jeffery Parson, Karen Parson, Bradley Bothast and Sarah Bothast; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene, 440 N. Standard Blvd., Montpelier, with Rev. Bill Fisher, Rev. Laura High, Rev. Scott Lamperd and Rev. Billy Stanton officiating. Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Montpelier.
