James R. Sheley, 91, of Roanoke, IN, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
Mr. Sheley retired from International Harvester after 25 years. He was a World War II Army veteran, serving in the 99th division at Battle of the Bulge.
He was born June 8, 1922, in Middle Point, OH, to Claude and Ethel Sheley. His wife, Donnabelle, survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan E. (Steve) Reddin, of Yoder; a granddaughter, Lisa (John Jr.) Olry, of Fort Wayne; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne, and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Huntington County.
Preferred memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
